Battle Tower Tips
One thing that makes the Battle Tower challenges more difficult
is that you do not get to switch Pokemon when you have knocked out the other
trainer's Pokemon. Another is that once you lose, you must, repeat must, go back
to start. There is no way that I know of to save just before a battle, and if
doing poorly, quit to go back to that save point. You always start over. So
learn as you go, or "go back to start".
-
You need to pick your team very, very carefully. They will only
be fighting Pokemon of the same level, so they need to have some of the best
and highest abilities.
-
You need to choose their attacks very, very carefully. You may
need to consider Egg Moves, and raising your Pokemon team specially for the
tower!
-
You need the Pokemon of the Nature that
enhances the attacks you chose. You can have an elevated Attack or Special
Attack, but not both. My Alakazam's attacks all use her Special Attack number,
which is very high.
-
You need to raise them properly, using their effort points
wisely. Know which Pokemon to defeat and which ones to avoid when raising this
Pokemon! See page on Effort Values.
-
You need to give them nutrients. By "nutrients" I mean Carbos,
Protein, Zinc, Iron, HP UP or Calcium. You need to know which ones to give
them, based on which attacks you chose, and your strategy.
